Holidays!

Strange not to be at school today, with those beautiful, excited little faced! The children were practically bouncing with excitement this week with thoughts of holiday plans - family visits, trips and of course the magic of Santa so close. I remember those days well!  I hope you can enjoy the sweetness of these days in between the hustling and bustling that is ultimately necessary to get everything that needs to be done, done!

My home is full, all kids home, dogs happy and the fridge stocked...for now!  The stories come fast and furious - what everyone has been up to, the highlights and the lowlights - and always anecdotes from kindergarten are requested.  It reminds them (now 19, 20, 22, 23 and 24) of themselves at that age and their collective wonder as they remember the sheer pleasure in the simplest things and outright joy at newly learned skills from zippers and dressing independently to reading and writing that kindergarteners have is a joy to watch.

Many thanks go to our wonderful grade parents for all their hard work.  Their time and effort to keep our classes running smoothly is so appreciated! The parties and crafts to help celebrate the holidays were great, as were the treats sent in - the children were thrilled!

Thank you  also, for the generous and lovely gifts given.  Your kindness renders me speechless.
I wish you a safe and wonderful holiday with friends and family and look forward to hearing all the stories.  The blog will be updated again in January for the week back to school.

Cheers, Ms I
