Thank you as always to our volunteers! The children had great fun at their Halloween parties, enjoying good snacks and super crafts. Many thanks to those who sent snacks or supervised crafts. Many thanks also, to your great grade parents for super ideas and materials! As well, it was great to see so many of you out at the parade, the children are always excited to see you around the school.
You can see by the ghosts that came home last week we are making great progress learning to cut and developing good cutting skills. Keep up the good work! Many of our juniors have made great strides in learning to print their names also, again, keep it up!
This week you will be able to book an interview time to discuss your child - go to www.schoolbookings.net and use GNW7S as the event code, then look up Ms. Iafrate and book the time that is most convenient for you. Remember JK parents will not receive a report this term but may book an interview. SK parents will receive a report and may book an interview. Booking will close Friday.
Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. will be the final Terry Fox assembly/tricycle race. We have been assigned to team YELLOW and asked to wear yellow - as much or as little as you can to the assembly. Our staff racers will be Mme. Freitas and Mr. Littlejohn and we will support both them and the students chosen for team yellow. If you ordered an LKS gym shirt or have older children with a gym shirt you may use that!
Scholastic book orders for November were sent home on Friday and are due back to me for Friday, November 8. I will process the order over the weekend. If anyone is still missing an order from October please see me - I have the order but no name on it!
Egg Cartons - Please save and send in the egg cup portion of your empty egg trays - paper ones only! We will need one per child for a Christmas craft in December but they need to be paper so we can paint them. Thanks in advance!
