Week of October 28 - November 1

Thank you as always to our wonderful volunteers!
Congratulations again to our certificate recipients this month - Noah, Siena and Patrick - for demonstrating the character trait of responsibility so well in the classroom.  Next month we focus on empathy and celebrate at the Sharing Assembly on Monday, November 25.

The "We Scare Hunger" campaign (see emails from your grade parents for full information) is up and running.  We have a donation box in the hallway outside our door for your non-perishable goods and hope that many of you will stop buy with an item or two if you are coming to see the Halloween Parade on Thursday.

Halloween is Thursday!  We ask that you bring/send your child to school in their Halloween costume so that they are ready for the parade.  No weapons please!  Weather permitting we will be outside in the morning with all classes parading and inside in the afternoon; parading the afternoon Kindergarten classes around the main floor of the school.  Your child should bring a backpack to school - they may wish to take off their costume once the parade is over and also, each child will have a "loot bag" of treats to take home with them.

**Halloween treats need to be nut and sesame free, commercially prepared and individually wrapped so that your child can easily drop them into his/her friend's loot bags.  Snack will be provided by the party volunteers so the children will not be eating any of the treats they bring to hand out.

This week;
Monday - AM Reading Buddies, PM Computers
Tuesday - AM Library
Wednesday - AM Computers
Thursday - Halloween! Parades at 9:00/12:35, PM Library
Friday -  Mystery Readers 10:55/2:45, Scholastic Orders sent home - DUE Nov. 8.

Clocks change this weekend, Sunday, November 3 - fall back one hour.

Coming next week - interview times are available online beginning November 4.  ALL parents may book interviews even though only SK's will have a printed progress report this term.  Watch for emails from your grade parents with instructions and timelines for booking.

Have a great week!
Ms. I.
