Thank you as always to our valued volunteers. Thanks to our grade parents for an April calendar to keep us on track and keeping us organized for the Springfest basket! We have a collection started for our "superhero" themed basket so feel free to send in your donations when you have them.
It was great to see so many people helping us celebrate at the Sharing Assembly, congratulations again to both Alexandra and Bridget. The April assembly will be Thursday, April 28 for the character trait of co-operation. This week we have the first of our two April pizza days, thank you to those who have volunteered to help. Please remember on pizza days and hot lunch days to still send a morning and afternoon snack with your child. It is too long a day without a snack break between breakfast and lunch, then lunch and dinner!
Now that spring is here (she said optimistically...) please check the fit of the shoes your child has in class. Feet have grown and shoes may no longer be fitting well! Pulling out the spring coats, please be sure to check that the zipper or closures work easily so that your child can continue to dress themselves independently. Sometimes the ease of having an older sibling pass down coats is negated by the wear and tear that makes the closing mechanisms tricky for the next in line. I'm sure we are all looking forward to the days of no coats at all, ahhhhhh
Last week we enjoyed live performance by the "Dufflebag Theatre". It was in fact Robin Hood, not the Peter Pan we expected but the kids loved it and it was well done! April will bring other special events such as another author visit organized by Ms. McGee and our Scientist in the School visit which we will pass on more information about as we get closer.
This week looks like:
Monday - Music PM
Tuesday - Mailbags, Mystery Reader PM
Wednesday - Day 5 Lib/IT PM
Thursday -
Friday - Reading Buddies, Mystery Reader AM, Pizza Lunch, Day 2 Lib/IT PM, Mailbags
Have a great week!
Ms. I.
