Week of April 18 - 22 Earth Day!

Thank you as always to our valued volunteers!  This week we drew names for both our Scientist in the classroom and Springridge Farm trip.  Thank you to all those who volunteered, as always there are limited spots for these events and we appreciate all who offered not just the ones ultimately chosen.  Thank you!  More information will come as we get closer.

Thank you to those who participated in the "Pink Day" and "Jersey Day" fun last week even though it was fairly last minute!  This week let's be "green" for Earth Day and wear something green on Friday.  We will have a special presentation on trees Thursday morning and help with the school yard clean up on Friday; organized by our LKS Eco-warriors club and Ms. Moser.  Thank you Eco-warriors!

This week, as you see on your Leader calendar, the school cycle days DO NOT shift over after the PA Day on Friday.  This is because the PA Day was an add on in the fall, after the calendar had already been organized and published.  Follow your Leader calendar to stay on track with the Library/IT days and our class activities.

This week looks like:
Monday - Music PM
Tuesday - Mailbags, Mystery Reader PM
Wednesday - Day 5 LIB/IT PM
Thursday - Tree Presentation AM
Friday - **Wear green for Earth Day!
Reading Buddies, Mystery Reader AM, Day 2 LIB/IT PM, Mailbags

Next week, Thursday, April 28, will be our April Sharing Assembly to celebrate the character trait of co-operation.  We would like to congratulate both Veronica and Julian for their co-operation in the classroom.  Well done!

Our Springfest basket is still filling with donations - anything on the superhero theme!  If you are out shopping this weekend for your part we have Ironman, Batman, Spiderman items but no girl superheroes, superhero vehicles, games or movies included yet. You can send items in with the kids when you have them.  Thank you!

Have a great week, dare I say maybe the snow is gone for good now...!
