Thank you as always to our valued volunteers. Many thanks to those who made it out to the Sharing Assembly yesterday also, it's fun for the kids to see so many people cheer them on! Congratulations again to our awesome teamwork recipients Adam, Henry and Reese, well done!
Pizza Day was made extra special this month by a visit from our Zachary! The kids were so happy to see him and now have a better visual of how his broken leg looks and how we will need to support him in the classroom. Everyone is eager to help and we're glad he's back Monday. Our second poem for this week was "Nice Hot Chocolate" and our fantastic Ms. Santiago organized bringing in hot chocolate as a treat for the kids Friday afternoon - no surprise that it was a big hit!
Next week brings February and a few very busy weeks. We have been given the opportunity to participate in the Aussie X dance lessons that the grades 1 - 8 will have. Our time slot is Tuesday, Feb. 2 from 2:45-3:10. PLEASE NOTE THIS MEANS WE WILL BE LATE FOR DISMISSAL ON TUESDAY. We should be out around 3:15. If you need your child AT 3:05 as usual PLEASE LET US KNOW. Bus students will be taken to the bus as usual.
Friday, Feb. 5, JK Summaries will be sent home. There will be an SK report at year end. ALL parents (JK and SK) are invited to sign up for interviews. Follow the instructions in your parent email and please be aware there is a closing date for the sign ups! We look forward to sitting down with you all to tell you how great your kids are!
The 100th Day collection presentations will begin on Feb. 8, dates are posted on the back door as well as below. Valentine cards and treats can be sent to school any day that week also, if your child will be sharing things with his/her classmates. Loot bags will come home Thursday, Feb. 11 as Valentine's Day is actually on the Sunday. Please be sure to stay NUT FREE and have your child label only "From __________" if giving treats as this speeds up the delivery process of 27 kids!
February Scholastic orders will come home Tuesday in mailbags, to be due back for Friday.
