Week of May 6 - 10

Thank you as always to our volunteers!  It was great to see so many people out at Springfest, supporting as volunteers and/or patrons.  The weather was wonderful and everyone enjoyed the day thanks to the efforts of our great organizing committee, well done!  Both AM and PM baskets looked great and generated interest among the bidders, again, well done!

This week will be busy with several special days planned for our class.  These are all courtesy of your generous donations over the year and your parent council who mediates the funds for such worthwhile programs as artists, scientists and authors who visit the school- remember to thank any council members you know!

Monday has been deemed blue and white day in the city of Toronto and our student council has asked us to participate by dressing to support our Toronto Maple Leafs either by wearing blue and white or Leaf clothing.  Go Leafs Go!

With the warm weather seemingly here, remember to apply sunscreen to your child before school and send them with a hat that can be comfortably worn for outdoor play.  Water is always available at the classroom fountain.

Friday's author visit will be a reschedule of Natalie Vachon.  We look forward to hearing her stories!

This week:
Monday - Artist visit both AM and PM
Tuesday - Scientist visit - "Backyard Bugs" - both AM and PM
Wednesday - PM Library
Thursday - AM Library
Friday -  AM Reading Buddies Cancelled, PM Computers Cancelled, Author Visit in the library
Have a great week!
Ms. I.
