Thank you to those who were able to come out and walk with us on our Terry Fox Walk, it was a great day! If you are able to make a donation, please do so and return the paperwork to LKS as soon as possible. If you have already made or collected a donation(s) thank you!
This week we begin our borrow a book/snuggle up and read program. Your child will bring home a book Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in their mailbag. Without a mailbag or return of the last book a new one will not be sent. Read them together and independently if your child is able. Use the hints given on the reading tips sent in your child's mailbag and enjoy!
Mystery Readers begins this week also, offering volunteers a chance to surprise the children in class by visiting and bringing books to read aloud to the class. The children enjoy this immensely, both having someone special surprise them and hearing the stories they bring.
Many thanks go out to your grade parents for organizing these ventures!
The Book Fair will take place in the library Monday thru Thursday. Classes are given a visit time to purchase books but parents/caregivers may visit the book fair before or after school also.
