Thank you as always to our valued volunteers! What a busy week it was with birthdays, treats, and a mobile planetarium visit! The money that your Parent Council collects is used for many great things, the mobile planetarium being one. Thank you, thank you! We had a great time crawling into the bubble and watching our expert from the Planetarium, Olivia, show us around the galaxy. The kids were very interested in what she had to say and had good questions like "how is a star created?" You may have some requests to go online and look at stars, planets, rockets etc...I did tell them that a rocket took a car into space this week...that got them all wondering and talking!!
Many thanks to everyone for outfitting the kids in their Leafs gear, they looked great! I'm sorry to say we didn't see any of the players as a class but a few lucky friends did after school, good timing you lucky guys! Check the LKS twitter feed if you want to see the school photos. Go Leafs Go!
Next week will be a busy one with the 100's day and Valentine's day festivities. The Chinese New Year celebrations last for two weeks so we can enjoy some activities the week after next as well.
Just a reminder to check the calendar for your child's 100 day presentation day. If you need to trade days with someone for any reason please feel free and let me know. Valentine treats can be sent in Monday and Tuesday if you have them ready, we made our loot bags this week and having the kids drop in their treats a few at a time is much easier!
