Thank you as always to our valued volunteers. Thank you also to those who were able to make it out to Open House this week, it is always a pleasure to show off your children's accomplishments! For those who were unable to come, feel free to ask about your child at any point. Junior parents, you will receive your child's Summary Report on Monday. Many thanks to your great grade parents for getting out the calendars that keep us on track each month and organizing our helpers for party days as well as regular tasks, great job!
Our 100th Day collections were all wonderful and the children had a great time explaining their own, as well as looking at each other's. They are on display on the bulletin board and a table I have set up outside our classroom door in the hallway by the lunchroom/gym. We will leave them on display for the month so you can have an opportunity to have a look.
Monday will be the actual 100th day of school and our activity party. The children will have an opportunity to finish their 100th day hats, make a monster with 100 eyes, build a necklace with 100 fruitloops, make a gumball machine with 100 gumballs and of course enjoy our special snacks! We will try to send home as much as possible on Monday but things that don't dry will have to wait until Tuesday. Thank you to those who have already sent in a donation of 100 edible something-or-other for the snack bowl. If you wish to, you may send something on Monday (no peanuts or sesame) and we will mix all the treats together so the children can have a cup of the mix for snack, fun!
Kindergarten registration takes place this week, Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as Wednesday of the following week. If you have a child eligible for school in September or have friends or neighbours in our district who do, registering is the first step! I will be covering the office Tuesday and Mrs. champagne will be in the class.
Friday is Valentine's Day, please remember the no peanut/sesame guides when choosing treats for
your child to share with his/her peers. We will be making loot bags this week and all packaged treats will come home with your child in their loot bag Friday.
